Our Project is called We Are The World. A powerful new dance film project proudly supported by the Youth Climate Action Project and set against the stunning backdrop of nipaluna, Hobart.
This creative project brings together dancers and vocalists from across the community to share a message of self-awareness, empowerment, and environmental action. Through movement and music, we aim to spark conversations about the importance of sustainability—both for our planet and within ourselves.
Featuring both lead and collective roles, the film will be shot over the weekend of October 5th–6th, with minimal rehearsals and choreography (shared digitally for busy dancers).
A more detailed schedule will be locked in close to filming dates. Some scenes will be shot ‘in situ’ where the dancer creates choreography on the spot, based on the environment. If not familiar with this, the dancer can be directed by our choreographer (TBA soon).
Auditions will include a short interview, one-minute solo and a group audition (if called back). Time will be confirmed based on how many participants audition.
Whether you’re a dancer or a singer, this is your chance to use your talent for something meaningful—a creative call to protect the place we call home.

THE PLATFORM
Founded in 2016, The Platform began as a vibrant space for local dancers, singers, and performers to showcase their talent in front of industry professionals.
More than just a performance event, it served as an educational experience—offering aspiring artists a real-world glimpse into the professional entertainment industry.
After a covid induced pause in 2020, we are proud to relaunch with renewed energy and purpose. Our mission has evolved into something deeper: to bring purposeful meaning into the world through dance, art, and film.
Now, we’re excited to reactivate The Platform with a fresh focus—creating more opportunities for local Tasmanian performers.
We are committed to nurturing homegrown talent, delivering impactful artistic experiences, and empowering creatives to grow, shine, and be seen.
Welcome to the new chapter—where creativity meets purpose.
